What Was It?
"The Mean Kitty Song", also known as "Hey Little Sparta", is a song and video by YouTuber Cory Williams about his cat, Sparta. Williams, who was born in Merced, California, posted it to YouTube in 2007, and it quickly became his best-known work.
Within a year it was ranked among YouTube's all-time favourite videos, and it was shown on television, including CBS's The Early Show.
Its success led Williams to launch a spin-off channel, TheMeanKitty, in 2008, with funny moments and short films starring Sparta and his other cat, Loki. The song stayed his most popular video for more than a decade, until another cat video, "How To Get A Kitty Belly", overtook it in 2018.
