What Was It?
The video for OK Go's "Here It Goes Again" shows the band dancing across eight treadmills, set in two rows of four running in alternating directions, in one continuous take. Bassist Tim Nordwind lip-syncs the lead vocal.
It was choreographed and co-directed by the band and Trish Sie, singer Damian Kulash's sister, and filmed at her home in Orlando, Florida, between tour dates. It took a few days of practice and 17 attempts, and cost about $4,000. Worried about being seen as a goofy dancing band, they left it on Kulash's laptop for about a year before posting it to YouTube on July 31, 2006.
OK Go performed the routine live at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards, and the video won the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video.
