What Was It?
Llamas with Hats is a dark comedy animated web series by Jason Steele, released through FilmCow, the company Steele built after Charlie the Unicorn. It stars two llamas who share a house: Carl, a grey llama in a green hat voiced by Chris Alex, and Paul, a beige llama in a red hat with a flower, voiced by Steele.
In the first episode, released on February 19, 2009, Paul finds a body in their living room and Carl explains himself. Carl's actions escalate with each episode, and the series turns steadily darker.
Steele made twelve episodes between 2009 and 2015. The series gained a cult following, and The Irish Times called it a "superb series of absurd snippets".
